Obituary of Betty Kay Stockton

Betty Stockton, 71, of Albuquerque, New Mexico, passed away on April 16, 2023, after her battle with cancer. She was able to be in the comfort of her own home with her husband and daughter by her side at the time of passing. Betty fought the long battle with cancer for a little over 6 years but never lost her faith and love of Jesus Christ her Lord and Savior. Throughout all of her life’s battles, she taught everyone around her how to be strong and put their faith in Jesus. Betty was predeceased by her father Lincoln John Rodrigue, mother Clara Ruth Rodrigue, father-in law Horace Mitchell Stockton and mother-in-law Dortha Irene Stockton. Betty is up in heaven celebrating her forever home and watching over the lives of her husband Jim Stockton, daughter Kimberly Clayton, Son-in-law Dusty Clayton, grandson Christopher Clayton, sister and brother-in-law Patricia and Mike Rouse, sister and brother-in-law Cindy and John Kouns, nephew John Kouns, nephew and niece-in-law Greg and Cindy Rouse. She will also be watching over her many other family members and friends. Betty grew her faith the last 18 years while attending Grace Church in Albuquerque. She loved to cook to make food for others. She loved to spread the joy of her life during these moments with family and friends. She will be missed dearly by all who knew her.

In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to St. Jude Children's hospital. St Jude held a special place in Betty's life as she always said children should not have to suffer especially from cancer. A grave side service will be held on June 10, 2023, at 10:30AM MT. The service will be held at Sunset Memorial Park 924 Menaul Blvd NE, Albuquerque, NM 87107. All are invited to attend. After the service, the family will be holding a celebratory party, per Betty's request, at 9900 Spain Rd. NE in the courtyard of buildings T, U, V, W and X at 1:00 PM MT.
