Obituary of Gary Dale Ferguson

Gary Ferguson, 81, of Los Lunas, NM, born September 6, 1941 in Alva, OK, and passed away on April 29, 2023.

Gary loved racing, college sports, and spending time with his family. Gary grew up on a farm in Kansas and he started racing in his teens. He met the love of his life, Karen, at the age of 21 and the couple was married shortly after. The young couple moved to New Mexico in 1967.  In addition, to his love of sports, he was a devoted family man. He and his wife Karen were inseparable, and their love was evident to all who knew them. Together, they raised two daughters, Sherri and Tammi, and cherished every moment spent with their grandchildren.

Gary was a loving father, husband, grandfather, and friend to everyone. Gary is survived by his beloved wife Karen of 58 years, daughters Sherri Serafin and Tammi Ferguson, brothers Tom Ferguson, Gene and Roger Prigmore.  Grandchildren Jessica Cage and husband LeDarrius, Christina Eldodt and husband Kyle, Michael and Kimberly Abeita, and Great-Grandchildren, Easton and Peyton Eldodt. 

Gary's legacy will live on through the countless lives he touched during his lifetime. He was a man of unwavering character and integrity, a devoted husband and father, and a true friend to all who knew him.
