Obituary of Charles Victor Farris

Charles Victor (Vic) Farris was born August 17, 1939, and entered into eternal rest on May 3, 2023.  He studied briefly for the priesthood before entering a career in law enforcement, serving in the Sheriff Departments of Albuquerque and Santa Fe and as a guard at the state prison in Santa Fe.  He loved God and family.   Vic was preceded in death by his parents Charles H. Farris and Margaret Thomas Farris, his half-brother Donald Hanesworth and his brother Rev. Daniel Farris.  He is survived by his brother Tom Farris (Anne), his niece Melissa Farris Gibson (Sean), his nephews Kevin Farris (Sabrianne) and Timberlake Hanesworth, six great nieces and nephews (all residing in California) and neighbors and friends who enabled him to continue living in his home until the end.   There will be a rosary at Riverside Funeral Home Wednesday May 17 at 6pm, and funeral Mass at St. Therese at 10am Thursday May 18 followed by internment at Queen of Heaven Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, consider a donation to a charity of your choice that benefits children.
