Obituary of Hilario Lovato

Hilario (Larry) Lovato, age 95, of Albuquerque, NM, died peacefully Monday, June 5, 2023.  He was born December 14, 1927 in Albuquerque, NM, the son of the late Vidal and Maria Lovato. On October 18, 1947 he married the love of his life, Beatrice of 75 years.

He is survived by his wife Beatrice, son, Freddy Lovato and his late wife Dorothy, daughter Joanne Lovato-Trujillo and husband Art, and daughter Denise Dautenhahn and her late husband Marty.  Five grandchildren, Larry, Rob, Bridget, Dominic and Dallas. Six great grand children, Damian, Alex, Robby, Carolyna, Olivia and Aurora.  Five step children, Diane, Rachel B., Nathan, Rachel P., and Jordan, sister-in-law Dorothy Connelly and her husband Henry, several nieces, nephews, and friends.

He retired from the US Postal Service where he worked for 15 years .  Prior to that he worked as Civil Service for most of his career.  He was a 4th degree member of the Knights of Columbus.

His love and passion was not only his wife, but enjoyed being around his family, traveling, dancing and going to the senior centers.  He and his wife traveled the world.  He also had an opportunity to play a part in one of the episodes of Better Call Saul, was in the audience of the Price Is Right, which was a program he loved to watch.  He enjoyed life to the fullest. He will be missed by all who knew him.
