Obituary of Kyle Steven Rodriguez

Kyle Steven Rodriguez, 33, entered God’s kingdom on June 11th, 2023. He was born June 15th, 1989, to Jonathon Rodriguez and Peggy Tafoya.

A stellar athlete, Kyle began his prep career at Rio Rancho High School, helping pave the way for many successful seasons during his time, being known as a top prep recruit in the state of New Mexico. He then had stints at the collegiate level, playing offensive line at New Mexico Military Institute and Eastern New Mexico University. Kyle’s love for football did not stop there, coaching multiple little league football teams and an Albuquerque metro all-star team. His leadership as an offensive coordinator helped teams become very successful on the field, but it is his advice and dedication to his athletes that helped them succeed off the field.

Kyle was also an avid car enthusiast. His special fondness of anything with wheels is something that will be truly missed. Standing six foot five, he was known to some as a “gentle giant”. His loving and playful personality could brighten up a room. Kyle was a man who loved, and he loved hard. His impact will forever be felt by family and friends, who love him dearly. There is no distance he would not travel, to protect his family.

Kyle, a loving son, fiancé, brother, and uncle is survived by his fiancé Veronica Mireles, father Jonathon Rodriguez, mother Peggy Tafoya, Stepmother Kelly Rodriguez, auntie Sadie Stanley, sister Savannah Rodriguez and brother Evan Tafoya-Vallo.

A memorial service will take place Thursday, June 22nd from 12pm to 2pm at Riverside Funeral Home, 225 San Mateo Blvd NE, Albuquerque, New Mexico.
