Obituary of Gilbert F. Candelaria

Gilbert F. Candelaria (Riggie)

age 52, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday June 28th, 2023 at UNM hospital in Albuquerque New Mexico. Riggie was born April 6th 1971 to Gilbert and Frances Candelaria of Placitas New Mexico.

Riggie was a lifelong resident of Placitas who Loved collecting and talking about his rocks and unique findings, he loved his art and his carvings. He loved most of all his family, especially going to Mom's house for beans and chile or have a nice chat with Dad. He had a special love for his nieces and nephews and will have their camping trips, fishing trips, and baseball games to remember. He is survived by his parents Gilbert and Frances Candelaria, his sister's Elicia Anchondo, Linda Candelaria, his nieces and nephews, Carlos, Destiny, Emilio, Josiah, Faith, a special great nephew Bentley. his girlfriend Kristen Blad and many loving aunts and uncles and cousins. He will be greatly missed also by his friends. funeral arrangements will be updated.

Services for Gilbert Candelaria will be held at San Antonio Catholic Mission Church in Placitas, NM, on July 21, 2023. 

The rosary will begin at 9:30 AM, with mass at 10:00 AM, and burial to follow. 

Burial will take place at Placitas Catholic Cemetery.
