Mary Helen Sanchez

1933 - 2023

Mary Helen Sanchez, 90,  went to be with our Lord on July 4, 2023 surrounded by her family. She was born in Buena Vista, Colorado, but grew up in Ojo Sarco, New Mexico. After her husband passed away, she moved to Santa Fe where she could be closer to her children. She  was preceded in death by her husband, Gilberto Sanchez; son Lawerence Sanchez; parents Augustine and  Adelina Armijo;  brothers Arturo and Nestor (Georgia); sisters Melba (Ernesto), Jenny (Nick), Cidelia (Liberato) and  Petrolina (Gilbert).  

She is survived by her sons, George (Madlyn)  Louis (Frances) Ronnie ( Sylvia) and Gilbert;  her daughters, Marilyn   and Sandra (Junior);  her grandchildren and  great grandchildren, and many other nephews, nieces, and family  and friends who loved her dearly. Serving as pallbearer is Mark Sanchez. Honorary pallbearers are all her grandchildren. 

Services will be held at  San Antonio De Padua Parish in Penasco, New Mexico on Friday, July 28. Rosary at 1 pm and mass at 2 pm, followed by a burial at Ojo Sarco Cemetery.
