Obituary of Elvira Kelley

Elvira “Vita” Kelley, beloved wife, mother, and sister, was called to her eternal rest on June 23, 2023. She entered this world on October 10, 1939 in Laredo, TX, born to Jose and Maria Wise.

She had a distinguished Civilian Air Force career spanning 51 years, culminating in her role as the Chief of the Force Development Division for the Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Jay Kelley. She is survived by her daughter, Kathleen Kubica (Steven); sister Sylvia Esquibel (Tony); sister Norma Santos; along with many nieces, nephews and grand-nieces and grand-nephews.

A Memorial Service will be held Tuesday, July 18, 2023, 10:00 a.m., at the Riverside Funeral Home Chapel at 225 San Mateo NE, Albuquerque NM 87108, followed by internment at the Santa Fe National Cemetery at 2:00 p.m.
