Obituary of Beatrice "Bea" Lovato

Beatrice (Bea) Lovato, age 91 of Albuquerque, NM, passed peacefully Monday, July 10th, 2023.  She was born September 2nd, 1931 in Albuquerque, NM, the daughter of the late Serafin and Isabel Chavez. She joined not only the love of her life, but her sister Bernie who was celebrating her birthday in Heaven that day.

She was preceded in death by her husband Larry who passed away on June 5th, 2023. Her sisters Nancy, Gloria, Bernie and great grandson Levi.

She met the love of her life Larry on October 18th, 1947 they got married and spent the next 75 years together. They had the most beautiful love story of two people who shared 78 years together.

There is no question they were the most devoted couple who set a wonderful example of love and life in a marriage. They would argue like any other couple but in the end they were a team. They accomplished so much in life. Her love and passion was not only her husband, but enjoyed dancing at the senior centers, traveling, and being with her family. They traveled the world along with her sisters and brother in laws. Her whole career she worked as an assembler/inspector with several companies and retired from Sperry.  She was a very hard worker with everything she did till the end.  Her and her husband added an addition to their first home with adobe bricks which she made while he was working. When he’d come home they would build the addition.  She was very outgoing and enjoyed life to the fullest. She appeared in an episode of Better Call Saul. She will be missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her son, Freddy Lovato and his late wife Dorothy, daughter Joanne Lovato-Trujillo and husband Art, and daughter Denise Dautenhahn and her late husband Marty. Five grandchildren, Larry, Rob, Bridget, Dominic and Dallas. Five step grandchildren, Diane, Rachel B., Nathan, Rachel P., and Jordan. Six great grandchildren, Damian, Alex, Robby, Carolyna, Olivia and Aurora. Five step great grandchildren Joshua, Andy, Santana, Noah and David. Four great great grandchildren, Devon, Andre, Rian, Marlena and her only surviving sister Dorothy Connelly and her husband Henry, several nieces, nephews, and friends.
