Steve Gordon

Obituary of Steve Leon Gordon

Steve Leon Gordon passed away this July 2023. He is survived by his three children Ian, Candace and Van, his sisters Terry and Georgia and grandchildren Skylar, Jedi, Kimberly, Rylee, and Adyson. Steve was a loving father and grandfather whose love and kindness touched the lives of those around him in many ways. Steve was born in Kanas City, Missouri on August 22nd, 1954, but spent most of his life in Albuquerque, New Mexico, where he raised his family and worked a variety of jobs. Steve was an airplane parts painter, worked for Intel and was a custodial engineer at the University of New Mexico.  Steve lived and died with his beloved Dallas Cowboys, and he always firmly believed that each year was going to be their year. Also, a lover of Classic Rock, Steve’s knowledge of the subject was encyclopedic. A lover of animals, Steve had many pets that he loved and was loved back throughout the years. Steve was a man that just wanted the world to kick back and have a good time. This was reflected in just about everything that came to define the man. Aldous Huxley once wrote that, “There are things known and there are things unknown, and in between are the Doors of perception.” These words are where Jim Morrison got the name for Steve’s favorite band, The Doors. Steve has now traveled these doors and passed from the things known to the things unknown. R.I.P. and may the love you showed those around you be the core of the memories they hold of you.
