Obituary of Mary Lou Horcasitas

Mary Lou (Aragon) Horcasitas, age 87, passed away peacefully in her Albuquerque home on July 13, 2023 surrounded by her loving family.   Mary Lou was born on March 7, 1936 in Belen, New Mexico to Manuel E. Aragon and Maria Castillo Aragon who both preceded her in death.  Also preceding her in death were her husband, Fred Horcasitas and brothers Richard, Philip, Robert and sister Bernice A. Salazar.   

Mary Lou is survived by her sons Richard (Rachel), Steven (Emily), David (Cuilan), daughter Barbara H. Perkins, granddaughter Natalie Perkins, grandson Max Horcasitas, granddaughter Danielle H. (Justin) Lacomb, nieces and nephews, and sister Rosella Aragon Natzke.   

Mary Lou was loved and admired by many relatives and friends.   She will be missed.

A funeral mass for Mary Lou will be held at 8:30 a.m. on Thursday, August 3, 2023 at Our Lady of the Annunciation Parish located at 2621 Vermont St. NE, Albuquerque with a reception to follow in the Parish Hall.   Mary Lou will be laid to rest at a later date in Santa Fe National Cemetery alongside her husband Fred Horcasitas.
