Obituary of Kyle Wortham Tag

Kyle Wortham Tag died in Albuquerque, NM, on July 19, 2023 at the age of 63 after a brave battle with stomach cancer.

He was born in Riverside Hospital, Boonton Township, New Jersey, the son of Beverly (Rainer) Magill and Richard E. Tag. A graduate of Boonton High School, Class of 1978, Kyle studied nutrition at Stockton University, attended the University of Arizona, and received his BS in Nursing at the University of New Mexico. He spent most of his career at Presbyterian Hospital in Albuquerque where he worked in the cardiology and perioperative departments.

Kyle was the best of humankind. He touched so many, as a loyal and fierce friend, husband and brother. Everyone that knew him loved him. He was an amazing nurse, providing excellent care by using humor, compassion and unending kindness. In July 2011, he married the love of his life, Kim Prairie in a ceremony in Cambria, California. Over the years, they explored the heights of Mount Everest and nearly every National Park in the United States.

Kyle is survived by her along with her children Aaron and Zach Prairie. He is also survived by his brother, Peter Harrison Tag of Seattle, WA, and sister Nancy Robertson Tag of New York City, brother-in-law Nick Scordato, nephews Jack Harrison Scordato, Nicholas B. Scordato, and Dylan Depriest-Tag.

To honor Kyle’s memory, the family suggests donating to Animal Humane of New Mexico.
