Obituary of Carlos Baca
Carlos Baca
Carlos Baca, a well known and loved resident of Los Lunas, unexpectedly left us to our heavenly home on July 29th.
Carlos was born on June 14, 1979 in Belen, NM to Manuel Baca and Barbara Mora of Los Lunas. He enjoyed his line of work landscaping and "keeping Los Lunas beautiful." He was proud of his work and the many friendships he created along the way.
Carlos was known for his generosity and protectiveness for his close friends and family. He was loved for his humor, often cracking jokes or making comedic imitations of his favorite movies such as Austin Powers, Friday, or Kung Pow: Enter the Fist. Classic rock and 90s rap were his go-to favorite genres of music and he always had something on the radio. He was a diehard fan of the Dallas Cowboys, and wore everything blue and silver. Fishing and camping was where he felt most peace and happiness and he was a proud member of the Belen Moose Lodge.
Carlos has been reunited and welcomed by his maternal grandmother, Mela Blea, his paternal grandfather, Emiterio Baca, his uncles Paul Blea and Trini Baca, and many other aunts and uncles. He is survived by his mother Barbara Mora of Los Lunas; His father Manuel and step-mother Brenda Baca of Belen; his sisters Erica Chavez and Celina Mora of Los Lunas and Andrea May of Albuquerque; his brother BJ Foster of Belen and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, grand niece, and grand nephew.
A gathering to remember and celebrate the life of Carlos will be held at Belen Moose Lodge August 19th at 1pm.
