Obituary of Earl Wisemann

WISEMANN, Earl, C.92, resident of Rio Rancho since 1975, passed away July 26, 2023. Born in New York on June 28, 1931 to Lincoln Wiseman and Helena (Morgan) Wiseman, he was raised in Washington Township, NJ, by his mother Helena and his step father Jose Antonio Ubieta. Earl served in the Army during the Korean war and was honorably discharged in 1953.

A man of strong Faith, Earl graduated from Eastern Bible Institute in Green Lane, PA, as a minister in 1958. It was there he met and married his lifetime partner, Wanda (Cook) Wisemann in August, 1957. After moving to Albuquerque, Earl attended and graduated from the New Mexico Law Enforcement Academy, and worked as UNM police as well as airport police at the Sunport. Earl did a lot of work with the First Baptist Church of Rio Rancho and was a Deacon there for some time.

Earl is predeceased by his wife, Wanda Wisemann, and his son Glenn Thomas Wisemann. He is survived by his son, Calvin Earl Wisemann (Vivian), and his grandchildren Lisa, Antonio, Catherine, Emily, Aaron, Carlee and Celina as well as 8 great grandchildren.

Services are being held at 10am on Friday, 8/18/23 at the First Baptist Church of Rio Rancho, 3906 19th Ave. SE, Rio Rancho NM 87124, and will be laid to rest with his wife, Wanda, at Santa Fe National Cemetary shortly thereafter.
