Obituary of Serena Francine Tomlin

Serena Francine Tomlin, age 50, was born on July 18, 1973 to Pearl Diane Gomez Chavez and Ernest L. Tomlin. Serena passed away on August 4, 2023 and leaves behind her sister Natalie and brother-in-law Mario Gonzalez, her uncles, tons of cousins and friends all of whom were partners in mischief and memories. Known as Rena to her family, she was a bundle of energy and constant movement.

She had an adventurous and brave spirit and was far more intelligent than most realized. Her giggle was infectious, she could be ornery and stubborn but never held a grudge and there was always a sparkle in her beautiful brown eyes. Rena was generous and thoughtful; she gave to others when she had little for herself. She loved with her entire heart and her strength led her through hardships, enduring more than we can only imagine. Serena was perfectly imperfect and when her decisions led her astray, the essence of who she was always remained. She was strong, sensitive, giving and loving and above all irreplaceable.
