Obituary of Margaret Ortiz

Margaret Lucero Ortiz, 75, of Albuquerque, NM died peacefully at home after a short courageous battle with her illness, on August 14, 2023. She gave way to Jesus Christ to open the Gates of Heaven for her, and HE did!

She was born and raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Margaret attended the University of New Mexico and worked for the UNM Printing Services for thirty years. She was a very trusted employee. 

She met her husband Ron and married him in 1974. They were preparing to celebrate 50 years of marriage soon. She is survived by her husband Ron; her son Marcus (Racheal); her daughter Darice (Mark); her grandchildren, Marcus (Aisha), Matthew, Isabella, Ethan & Madelyn; and one great grandchild, Emily.  Margaret was extremely proud of her children and grandchildren. She would tell everyone of each accomplishment achieved and share photos/videos with great pride. 

Margaret is survived by her siblings: Philip (Maggy); Theresa (Esteban); Arthur (Jeanette); Michelle (Jay); Robert; Michael (Vivian); Ronald (Donna) and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents and brothers Joe and Larry.
