Obituary of Joseph Gene Lucero

We are gathered here today to remeber Joseph Gene Lucero AKA "Gene."

Gene was born in Las Vegas New Mexico. He graduated from West Las Vegas High School.  During his high school years, he obtained a pilot's license and was quite fond of flying airplanes. 

After high school he served one term in the U.S. Navy as a communications specialist.  

Following his term in the Navy, he attended and received a Bachelor of Arts and a Masters of Business Administration Degrees from New Mexico Highlands Universisty in Las Vegas.  Down the line he earned an International MBA at the University of Madrid in Spain.

He had various jobs in his life time. 

He loved his family and was loved by his family.

According to some of Gene's friends, he was a very respectful and decent person, who was always willing to give a helping hand. 

Gene is survived by his brothers, Fred and Simon Lucero (Simon's wife Christine) and their children Ruben, Dominic, and Joshua.  Also nephews Martin and Adrian Lucero (sons of Herbert Lucero, deceased brother of Gene) and various nieces, nephews, and many friends.

A void remains in the hearts of those who knew him well.  May he rest in peace.
