Obituary of Norma Evangeline Salazar- Martinez
Norma Evangeline Salazar- Martinez was born January 8, 1940 to Samuel and Siria Salazar. She was preceded in passing by her parents; sister Esther, husband Jerry Martinez, brother-in-law Leo, niece Yvonne, and nephew Stuart.
She is survived by her daughter Mia Archibeque (husband, Gerard), and son Harvey Vigil. Siblings; Romie, Anna Howarth (husband David), Evelyn Chavez (husband Joe), Sam Salazar, Jr. (husband Matthew). Grandchildren, Gia, Austin, Jeremy, Vicente, Lateesha, Angel, Evangeline, and Mercedez. Stepdaughter Anita Martinez (partner-Mamo). Nieces and Nephews, Dana, Elizabeth, Larry, Leon, Monique, and Feiicia. She is also survived by many cousins, aunts and uncles, great-grandchild, great-grand dogs, great-grand ducks and many close friends.
A lifelong resident of Placitas, she enjoyed New Mexican music and never turned down an opportunity to dance, even if meant dancing with grandchildren Gia and Austin or daughter Mia in her living room or in the backseat of the car. She was giving and caring. She loved to work, take car rides , and Halloween.
A celebration of life service will be Oct. 1st @2 pm, Las Placitas Presbyterian Church, followed by burial @ San Antonio de las Huertas Land Grant Cemetery and reception at the church, Placitas, NM.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Placitas Volunteer Fire Department, Placitas, NM.
