Obituary of Ronnie Rhea
Ronnie was born in Pampa, TX on January 20,1958 to Glen and Dorothy (Stover) Rhea. He had a loving wife, Robin (Ross) Rhea. He had a two sisters, Gayle Rhea and Glenda Sanchez. He also had a brother, Bret Rhea. The family moved to Albuquerque in 1961 and into their family home in Adobe Acres in 1962. Ronnie attended Adobe Acres Elementary, Harrison Middle School, and Rio Grande High School. Over the years he worked at Piggly Wiggly, Len's Electric, Presbyterian Hospital, and the last 25 years at Albuquerque Public Schools.
He met his wife Robin Gail Ross at Presbyterian, where she was a Coder for 42 years. They married on August 13,1988, being sure to plan the wedding so as not to affect hunting season. He became a Bonus Dad to Robin's sons, Mark Donald Ross and Michael Dwayne Ross, and eventually Papaw to Maddox Ross, Mason Ross, and Tristan Lucero. He was a wonderful Uncle to Ashley Chavez, Jade, Lisa, and Ariana, Stephanie Grega, and Charlie, Donna, and Sean Rhea. He was a great-uncle to Axel, Harley, Ryder, Michael (Mikey), Raven, John James, and Dorothy. He was blessed to have countless friends. His lifelong hunting and fishing buddies were Rick Leydig and Loren McFadden. Later while working at the schools another fishing and hunting buddy came along, Mark Wheeler. He also had lifetime friends Ronda and Rusty Jackson, Sue Leydig, Alice and Mike Matney, and David and Barbara D'Spain. His other friends (who were in the band with him), Rick Cox, Dale Honeyfield and Marty Ray. Also, friend Peggy Cox who he loved to give a hard time.
Ronnie and Robin loved hunting, fishing, camping, the Dallas Cowboys and football in general, and Nascar Racing. They had many beloved hunting dogs, mostly German Short-haired Pointers, including Carly, Annie, and Bella, as well as his own self-appointed cat, Miss Kitty, all who miss him.
Ronnie and Robin also enjoyed Country music, performing (singing and playing) with the Enchantment Band as well as many friends of the Fiddlers and Musicians.
Ronnie will be sorely missed. It won't be the same without you here.
