Joel Garcia

Obituary of Joel Anthony Garcia

Joel Anthony Garcia, 42, of Albuquerque, New Mexico, bid us farewell on October 7, 2023, leaving behind a trail of laughter and love.

Affectionately known as Nano, this loving soul graced the world on August 11, 1981, in Albuquerque. From his early days, he radiated happiness, with a heart as big as the silver screen. Joel's passions included movies, music, game nights, quality time with loved ones, and exploring new horizons.

Joel leaves behind a legacy of joy, survived by his adoring mother, Azelle Garcia; his sister, Jennifer Tumlinson; his brother-in-law, Shane Tumlinson; his brother, Jeremy Garcia; his sister-in-law Raeleen Garcia; nieces and nephew, Isabella Garcia, Taylor Tumlinson, and Travis Tumlinson. His father, Salvador Garcia, Cousin Sharon Hammond and Grandparents Tony and Helen Aranda preceded him in death, but we like to think they're having a grand reunion up above with Joel's jokes and laughter.

Joel's educational journey led him to West Mesa High School and ITT Technical Institute. In 2006, he proudly received the Highest Honors Award at ITT Tech, proving that brilliance and wit go hand in hand.

To celebrate Joel's life, a memorial service will be held on Friday, November 17th, 2023, at Holy Family Catholic Church at 9:00am, where he found solace and inspiration. The church is located at 562 Atrisco Drive SW, Albuquerque, NM 87105. We would like to honor him by sharing stories of his ability to make others laugh and smile.

Riverside Funeral Home in Albuquerque, NM, is assisting with the arrangements.

Thank you for being a part of Joel's journey. Let's remember him with love and laughter, keeping his spirit alive in our hearts. May his playfulness echo through eternity.
