Obituary of Les Erwin Bowyer
Les Erwin Bowyer, age 82, loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, neighbor and friend to many; peacefully ascended to heaven to be with the Lord on Wednesday, October 24th 2023 surrounded by loved ones at his home.
He was proud of his family and loved his grandchildren having special nicknames and creating bonds with each one. Les was born in Colorado and grew up in Wyoming and worked in various mines of the New Mexico and Colorado mountains for many years. Which later led to respiratory issues that followed him during his life. Les lived life to his fullest. Les was also a jack of all trades working as a very talented construction carpenter remodeling homes and building many restaurant locations in Arizona.
Les enjoyed taking road trips to see his family which he loved doing. His passion for being outdoors never slowed him down. He loved fishing and being in the mountains. As Les slowed down, he enjoyed sitting on the patio with his “Darling”. Les also had a passion for cars and loved seeing his brother restore vehicles. Determination and strength would be the words that best describe him, but he embodied kindness and had a loving spirit. He was a man of integrity and believed in a commitment to his word. More importantly, Les loved God and shared his faith to countless lives and his influence was immeasurable. Les read and studied the Bible daily and spent countless hours in the word of God. He was a true bible scholar. His grandchildren all talk about their bibles they received from Grandpa.
Anyone who he felt was in need, received a bible. Les had a strong passion for life, family, and God. As Les left this earth and entered the Kingdom of Heaven, a part of us went with him. He truly lived a blessed and full life. He will truly be remembered forever in our hearts.
