Obituary of Robert Charles Dick

Robert (Bob) Dick, 89, of Santa Fe, NM died peacefully in his residence on 11/09/2023 surrounded by his children.

He was born 3/17/1934 in Wayzata, MN to parents Robert and Bernice (Peterson) Dick.

Bob attended Yale University on a hockey scholarship and completed his education at the University of MN. After college he joined the Marine Corps where he served 2 years as a 1st Lieutenant. 

After the military, Bob embarked on a career in the grocery business as an executive for Madsen's and Randall Foods, ultimately leading him run his own grocery stores, R.C.Dick's Foods, in Minneapolis/St. Paul.

 In 1989 Bob and his beloved wife, Wendy, moved to Santa Fe, NM where they lived the remainder of their lives. He was an avid golfer, body builder and Vikings fan. 

Bob is preceded in death by his wife, Wendy and brother, David.

 He is survived by his children; Brett (Lori), Cameron (Tia), Kati (Max), Fendell (Michael), Ashley (Laura), Jason (Julie); his 9 grandchildren, Emily, Madelyn, Dustin, Dalton, Arianna, Austin, Easton, Jimmy, Cody; his great grandson, Malcolm; and sister Diane.

He is further survived by dear friends Gordon and Mary Louise, Lionel and Lauren, Regina and Daniel and many other friends and family.

A private family memorial was held in Santa Fe, NM on 11/13/2023. The family requests those who wish to express sympathy to consider making a donation to their favorite charity in Bob's name.
