Obituary of Kathleen Louise Latham

Kathleen Louise Latham, 84, went to be with the Lord on the 8th of May 2022, with family by her side at her home in Albuquerque, NM.
Kathleen was born January 16, 1938, in Corning, NY to Frank and Anna (Barry) Buck also of Corning. She was one of 8 children, one brother and six sisters. She moved to Arizona in 1965 with her first husband (LeRoy Lewis Sr) and 5 children. She finally settled in Albuquerque, NM in 1988 and in 1996, married the love of her life, Gene Latham. Kathleen loved exploring the outdoors and enjoyed living in the desert southwest. She also enjoyed camping, hiking, mountain climbing, bowling, horses (in her younger years) and her children. Kathleen was a homemaker but worked at Thunderbird Lanes in Phoenix, Az for over 12 years and had other odd jobs from time to time. Her hobbies and interests included family, gardening, and horses. She was a devoted grandmother and spent much of her time caring for her grandchildren. Kathleen is survived by her sister, Diane Sutherland; husband, Gene Latham; sons, LeRoy Lewis Jr (Jana); David Lewis; Jerry Lewis (Anitra); stepson, Roy Latham (Stacie); stepdaughter, Renee Latham (Stewart Case); 13 grandchildren, Karen; Brandy; April; Kari; LeRoy III; Jessica; Candy, Faith, Phillis; Audrey; Timothy; Austin and James. She is also survived by 25 great grandchildren and 11 great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, John F. Buck; sisters, Beverly Buck Snyder (Larry); Joanne Buck Czedo (John); Rosemary Buck Mixie (Jack); Francis Buck Melia (Nick); half sister, Wanita Rice Knier (Henry); daughter, Linda Lewis Farina; son, Timothy James Lewis and great grandson, Alex Amieva.
As per her wishes there will be no services. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to your local Humane Society in her honor.
