Obituary of Robert F. Andrews

Robert F. “BIG BAD BOB” Andrews passed away on July 6, 2022, after a long illness. Bob was born in Albuquerque, NM in 1946 to William “Ed” Andrews and Helen Bigham Andrews.  

He grew up in Albuquerque and attended college at ENMU and was a long-standing member of the Sigma Chi fraternity. Though he graduated with a bachelors in education, he, with his mother Helen, opened Andrews Pueblo Pottery in Old Town Albuquerque which was an Old Town staple for 40 years. He also served as President of SWAIA (Santa Fe Indian Market) for several years. He will be missed by many.  

He is survived by wife of 30 years, Anita Andres, son Robert Andrews Jr., daughter Sarah Crowder, son-in-law, Michael Crowder and grandsons, Cooper and Justin. Bob is also survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Susan and John Joseph, and their children Chris and Amy.  

Bob’s family would like to thank everyone who helped during this time of illness.  

Memorial service will be Thursday, September 22, 2022, at 10:00AM at Riverside Funeral Home of Albuquerque, 225 San Mateo Blvd. NE.
