Justin Desoto

Obituary of Justin P. Desoto

We regretfully announce the passing of Justin Desoto.  Justin was surrounded by family when he passed away unexpectedly on April 4, 2024, after battling a short illness at the age of 36.  He will always be remembered as a loving husband to Kellie and the best father to Joshua.

He will truly be missed by family and friends.  Though his time on earth was not long enough, we are thankful that he graced us all with his love and kindness.  Justin was born on July 29, 1987, in Pineville, Louisiana; the youngest son to Martha and John Desoto.  He graduated from Marksville High School in 2005.  He dedicated a major part of his life to serving his country with honor and courage.  Having enlisted in the United States Army in 2007, he embarked on a distinguished career in the military as a Staff Sergeant in Special Forces.  We join his military brothers in sorrow at this great loss and thank them for their outpouring of support. After his retirement in 2016, he went on to earn his Master's from Southern New Hampshire University in Cyber Security in 2024.  He was a talented craftsman who was just starting his lucrative custom table business.  Justin enjoyed the outdoors, survival training, and rock climbing, but most of all spending time with, loving on, and being a Daddy to Joshua.

Justin was preceded in his death by his Grandpa, Norbert Courville J.R.  He was survived by his wife, Kellie, his son Joshua, his parents Martha and John Desoto, brother Jamie, sister Stacie, and the rest of his living relatives.
