Obituary of Debbie F Ponce

On April 18th, 2024, Debbie F. Ponce passed away peacefully in her home at the age of 59. She was surrounded by her loving family. 

Born on December 3, 1964, in Albuquerque, NM to Jose “Sam” and Susie Trujillo. She was a 1981 graduate of Valley High School. She married Michael J. Ponce, and they raised two children together, Rachael and Ricky. Her family meant the world to her, especially her grandsons, Richard, Elias, Jeremy and her only granddaughter, Mia. She loved to be a caregiver and offered her help to anyone who needed it. Debbie was a friendly and loving woman who never met a stranger.

She is survived by her daughter, Rachael and husband Richard, her son Ricky, her sister Maria Annette (Nanny) and husband Luis, her nieces and nephews, Johnny and wife Reinette, Anthony and wife Crystal, Crystal and partner Abigail, and Monica. She is also survived by her great nieces Jazreal, Arrianna, Lunette, Deztini, Aylani and her great nephew Donovan. Debbie is survived by her best friend Geraldine Montoya & family, her comadre Theresa Johnson, great uncles, great aunts, many cousins and friends. 

She is preceded in death by her husband, Michael J. Ponce and her parents, Jose Sambran (Sam) Trujillo & Susie Martha Trujillo. Her grandparents, Esther and Presciliano Trujillo, Eloisa and Leandro Esquibel.

Services are as followed on Wednesday May 8, 2024:

Rosary Mass will be held at 9:00am at St. Therese Catholic Church: 3424 4th St NW, Albuquerque, NM 87107. 

Funeral to follow at 10:00am the Gate of Heaven Cemetery: 7999 Wyoming Blvd NE, Albuquerque, NM 87109.

Reception will be held at the St. Therese Parish Hall at 1:00pm: 3424 4th St NW, Albuquerque, NM 87107.
