Obituary of Mary Lillian (Redd) Hairston

Mary Lillian (Redd) Hairston was born On January 7, 1921, in Martinsville, Virgina. On March 22, 1945, married her Childhood sweetheart James Willie Hairston. She was a nurse and a member of the First African Baptist Church in Sharon Hill, Pennsylvania for 69 years. Mary worked at the John Wanamaker Department store in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania for 20 years.  

Mary is survived by her loving daughter-in-law Rosana “Rose” Hairston, Daughter Margaret Renwick of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Maxine Mitchell-Wicklund of Chicago, Illinois, Tami Sanchez of Los Lunas, New Mexico, Granddaughter Gwama Nina, Son Edmund Pharaoh  Hairston, Grandsons Edmund II, Magwa Ledesma, and  thousands of relatives in Hairston-Redd Clan.

She passed peacefully on April 20, 2024.
