Obituary of Anthony Alfero

Anthony Alfero, age 78, passed away on Saturday, March 22, 2014. He was born in Rockford, Illinois, November 7, 1935 and was a resident of Valencia County since 1976. Mr. Alfero was a member of the United States Army and served proudly. He owned his own business for years and later went to work for the Los Lunas Hospital and Training School where he retired from in 1997. On his free time he enjoyed writing poetry. Mr. Alfero was loved by many especially his family, he was a man with lots of wisdom and knowledge. He was a religious man and never gave up on his faith. Mr. Alfero will be greatly missed but never forgotten. You will always be in our hearts and everywhere we go, we love you. He was preceded in death by his father, Jose Alfero; mother, Petra Alfero and 16 siblings. Mr. Alfero is survived by his loving wife of 33 happy years, Susana Alfero; three sons, A. Allen Alfero and his wife Ursula, Andrew A. Alfero, and Frank Munoz and his wife Lorraine; daughter, Ruth Munoz; 9 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. Mr. Alfero will be laid to rest at the Santa Fe National Cemetery. The Aflero and Munoz family would like to thank their family and friends for all the support.
