Obituary of Antonio \ Archuleta

Archuleta, Antonio (Tony), 80, known by many as Junior, a lifelong resident of the Los Lunas area, passed away June 25th. Tony was born in Los Lunas on May 5, 1932 to Antonio J. and Isabel (Trujillo) Archuleta. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Norene Connelly Archuleta who passed away June 24, 1965. He is survived by daughter Karen Stevenson of Arizona, Sons Anthony of Los Lunas, Charles (Pam) of Albuquerque, and Edward (Diane) of Peralta and daughter-in-law Nicole Archuleta from Los Lunas. Also surviving is his daughter Anne Aragon of Los Lunas who was very dedicated to her father during his illness. Grandchildren, Charles' son Carlos from Costa Mesa, CA, Anne's daughter Monica from Albuquerque, and Edward and DiAne's children, Norene, LoriAnn, and Jondiego Connelly Archuleta, and Jules (Rene) Pinzon and their children James, Julianna, and Isaiah all of Peralta. Tony is also survived by his sister Rose Kesslering, San Antonio, TX and brother's Telesfor and wife Celina, Los Lunas, Agustin and wife Pauline, San Antonio, TX, and Salomon from Belen along with many nephews and nieces from the Archuleta and Connelly families. Tony was an alumni of UNM and closely followed all Lobo sports especially Lobo Football and Men's Basketball. Special thanks go to Heritage Home Healthcare, SolAmor Hospice, and the caring staff at the VA Hospital. A funeral mass was celebrated Saturday morning, June 30, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Peralta with Fr. Hoi Tran officiating. Cremains were interred at Norene's gravesite at the San Clemente Cemetery in Los Lunas in a private ceremony on the evening of June 30.
