Obituary of Euphemia Archunde Garcia

Euphemia Archunde Garcia, nee Jaramillo, age 92, passed away peacefully on Tuesday Oct. 1, 2013 surrounded by her family. She was a resident of Albuquerque for the past six years. She was born in Seboyeta, NM in 1921 and was a resident of Gallup, NM for 40 years, after which she moved to Belen, NM and lived there for 10 years. She was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by Valentin Archunde her husband of 44 years, and by their son Eugene Clinton Archunde; and by Lalo Garcia second husband of seven years, She was also preceded in death by her parents, Serafin Jaramillo and Bersabe Ortiz, and by brothers Jose, Frank, Libor, and Luis; and sisters, Predicanda, and Beatrice. She is survived by her children, Aileen Archunde Turner and husband Robert, Joyce Euphemia Archunde, Paulita Maria Archunde and husband Dennis, Val Archunde Jr., and Alfonso Archunde. She is also survived by grandchildren, Eric Turner, Tatia Burke, Chantel Stuckman and husband David, Nick Lopez, Katie Lopez, Natalie Euphemia Archunde, Corey Valentin Archunde, Gene Archunde and Eric Archunde. And by great-grandchildren, Zachary Burke, Brandon Burke, China Rose Stuckman and Chance Stuckman. She was lovingly called "Tita" by her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is remembered for her excellence as a seamstress, making many beautiful clothes for her three daughters. All services will be held at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, located at 5800 Ouray, on Monday, October 7, 2013 beginning with recitation of the Rosary at 9:30 AM. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 AM.
