Obituary of Arthur Baca

Arthur Baca, 63, of Los Lunas, went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, Sunday, May 4, 2014. Born in Belen, New Mexico on October 12, 1950 he was veteran of the United States Marine Corp. He is a retired auto body technician and a semi-retired driver from the Rio Metro transportation department. He was also an ordained pastor. His parents are, the late Aurelio Baca Sr., and survived by Tonnie T. Trapp. He was survived by his wife of 40 years, Roselyn Baca. Roselyn is the daughter of Joe B. Griego and the late Anita Griego. Arthur has three daughters, Annette and son in law Joseph Torres, daughter Karen and son in law, Orlando Aragon, and daughter Stefanie Baca. He cherished his seven grandchildren, Joshua Baca Torres, Joseph Jason Torres, Jordan Torres, Marcus Duran, Lucas Duran, Nathaniel Aragon and Eliana Baca. Arthur grew up with 12 siblings, Claudia Eylicio and husband David Eylicio, Aurelio Baca Jr and wife Frances Baca, Tonnie Lucero and husband Tony Lucero, Felix Baca, Phillip Baca, Marcella Silva, Annabell Chavez and partner Isidro Casillas, Ralph Hart, the late Rosemae Hart, Anna Rael and husband Phillip Rael, the late Lorance Eylicio and Benny Baca. He had many nephews and nieces that he loved. Many friends that he loved talking and joking with. Arthur was an active member at Calvary New Harvest in Los Lunas and enjoyed teaching and working with various ministries. He also loved riding his Motorcycle, taking his grandchildren to the drag races, he loved The Dodgers, and The Green Bay Packers. He always enjoyed taking his wife on road trips and eating out at restaurants. Anyone who knew Art knew how much he loved to tease and tell jokes. Pallbearers are Tim Gutierrez, Joshua Baca-Torres, Joseph Jason Torres, David Lee Eylicio, Kenneth Baca, and Benny Baca. Honorary Pallbearers are Jordan Torres, Marcus Duran, Lucas Duran and Nathaniel Aragon. There will be a viewing at Calvary New Harvest in Los Lunas on May 9, 2014 at 9:30am the service will be at 10:30am and there will be reception to follow at New Harvest. The burial will be on May 12, 2014 at 9:45 am in the Santa Fe National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Calvary New Harvest, 701 Main St, Suite A, Los Lunas, NM 87031.
