Obituary of Victoria Petra Barkley

Victoria Petra Barkley, 86, went peacefully to be with our Lord and Savior on Saturday January 28, 2012. She was born in Siparia, Trinidad on December 18, 1925 and resided in Albuquerque. She was the mother of 13 children, grandmother of 30 and great grandmother of 25. She was preceded in death by her dearly beloved husband, James Alexander Barkley and son, Leonard. Left to embrace and cherish her memories are daughters: Elizabeth Barkley, Angela Chai-Hong, Monica Valley; sons: John, Patrick, Vincent, James Jr., Peter, Paul Michael, Charles, Victor and Raymond; grand and great grand children; two sisters, Shirley and Utilda; brothers and sisters-in-law; nieces, nephews and friends. Viewing of the dearly departed will be at the chapel of Riverside Funeral Home, 225 San Mateo Blvd. NE, Albuquerque 87108 on Thursday, February 02, at 6.00 PM followed by a Rosary Recital by the Legion of Mary at 7.00 PM. The Funeral Service will be held Friday, February 03, at 9.00 AM at The Saint Joseph on the Rio Grande Catholic Church, 5901 St. Joseph Drive NW located one block west of Coors Blvd. Thereafter, in celebration of Victoria's life, the family will receive friends at 5805 Cochiti Drive, NW, Albuquerque.
