Obituary of Johnny Raul Chavez

Johnny Raul, age 56, passed away on Sunday March 18, 2012. He was born on May 16, 1955 in Mountainair, NM and raised in Manzano, NM. He served his country proudly in the US Army from 1977 to 1981 and was honorably discharged as an NCO. He is preceded in death by his parents, Julio and Irene Chavez, and brothers Albert and Patrick. He is survived by his wife Yvonne, children Alex, Candy, Crystela, Irene, and Uniqueca and grandchildren. He is also survived by his brothers Eddie, Victor and wife Linda, sisters Julia Chavez, Belinda Peralta and husband Donald, and Marlene Gomez as well as many nephews and nieces. Johnny brought joy to every life he touched and he will be greatly missed but we must all remember that he celebrated life every day and he expects us to celebrate daily in his honor. His viewing will be held at 6:00 p.m. followed by a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Riverside Funeral Home, 225 San Mateo NE on Thursday, March 22, 2012. A service will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. at Riverside Funeral Home on Friday, March 23, 2012 followed by interment at Fairview Memorial Park at 1:00 pm.
