Obituary of Edgar E Cooper

Dr. Edgar E. Cooper, 73, passed away Wednesday, October 9, 2013. Dr. Cooper was born December 16, 1939 in Coffeyville, KS. Dr. Cooper is survived by his wife, GayWynn; daughters, Kelley Garcia and husband, Joaquin, Kim Cooper, and Kit Cooper and husband, Daryl Brown; brother, Vollie Ray Carter and wife, Mary. Dr. Cooper was active academically and athletically at William Chrisman High School in Indepencence, MO and went on to graduate from the University of Kansas Dental School. Dr. Cooper entered the Navy during the Vietnam conflict and after leaving the military he moved to Albuquerque and started his dental practice. Dr. Cooper practiced for 25 years then retired to travel with the love of his life, GayWynn. Dr. Cooper and GayWynn settled in Embudo, NM in 1998 where they established their organic farm, La Bolsa. Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will be held at a later date. Donations can be made to the Quivira Coalition.
