Obituary of Jerry Dickinson

Jerry Dickinson 74 of Los Lunas, New Mexico passed away peacefully Tuesday October 2, 2012 after a lengthy illness. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents Lawrence Dickinson, and Bill and Barbara Herrera and brother Larry Herrera. Jerry was born May 24, 1938 in Huntington Park, CA. Jerry worked for Los Alamos National Labs for over 25 years. He was active in the Mormon Church. Jerry loved sports. He enjoyed fishing and reading but most of all he loved spending time with family telling stories. In his younger years he enjoyed taking his siblings to see the LA Rams followed by the movies. It is something they will always remember. Jerry is survived by his brothers and sisters: Denny Dickinson of Truckee, CA, Susan Herrera of Embudo, NM, Bill Herrera of Los Angeles, CA, Jim Herrera of Alta Loma, CA, Barbara Kitchen of Esparto, CA, Robert Herrera of Los Lunas, NM, John Herrera of Los Alamitos, CA, Steve Herrera of Brazil, beloved nieces Nicole Herrera and Dedra Bell of Alcalde, NM, and many other nieces and nephews. Services for Jerry will be held Sunday October 14, 2012 at 1:00 PM at the residence of Susan Herrera in Embudo, NM. Family and friends are invited to join us in the celebration of Jerry's life.
