Obituary of Ernest Leroy Duran

Duran, Ernest L. Jr., 32, was born on September 21, 1980 in Albuquerque and passed away on Saturday, November 3, 2012 with his family by his side. He is survived by his parents, Annabell McGuinness and Ernest Duran Sr. and his grandmother Socorro Duran. Ernest leaves behind his children Ernesto, Eryanna, and Emilio Duran. He was preceded in death by Emilio's mother, Jenna Velarde. Ernie leaves behind his loving sisters Bernadette and her husband Joel; Lorraine and her husband Joseph; and his loving brothers Gerald and his wife Holly; and David and his wife Jolyn. Ernie will be missed by his numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends. A viewing will be held on Thursday, November 8, 2012 from 6-8 pm at Riverside Funeral Home of Albuquerque. A Funeral service will be held on Friday, November 9 at 11:00 am also at Riverside Funeral Home of Albuquerque with burial immediately following at San Jose de Armijo cemetery. Pallbearers include: Gerald Gurule, David Duran, Joel Rivera, Joseph Salazar, Pablo Aguilar, and Mario Rodriquez. Honorary pallbearers include son Ernesto Duran and nephew Andrew Rivera. A memorial gathering will be held after the burial. Always one to laugh and joke around, we are thankful that Ernie is now in heaven and free of all worries.
