Obituary of Veloy R Franklin

Veloy R. Franklin, June 12, 1938 - March 7, 2014. Beloved wife, mother, and friend to many was raised in Willow Lake, SD and had been a resident of Albuquerque, NM since 1955. She was a former employee of Sandia National Laboratories and Dean Witter Reynolds. Veloy enjoyed traveling, camping, hiking, reading, as well as singing and performing with her Dad and brother as Johnny, Ted, and Sissy. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Bernice Russell; her brother, Roger Russell, and nephew, Jeff Russell. She is survived by her husband Douglas Franklin; daughters, Roxann Johnson and Janet Adams; five grandchildren and four great grandchildren. At Veloy's request, cremation will take place and a celebration of Veloy's life will be held at her favorite camping spot in the near future. We appreciate the care received from the Hospice staff at Anna Kaseman. In lieu of flowers, Veloy would appreciate your donations to your favorite charity.
