Obituary of Betty R. Gallegos

Betty R. Gallegos, age 62, a resident of Los Lunas, NM went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 18, 2011.On April 15, 1967 God led Betty into the life of Dometillo Gallegos where she became his high school sweet heart. They married on May 8, 1971 and later moved to Oklahoma and spent ten wonderful years there. While in Oklahoma they became faithful members of Jernigan Memorial Church of the Nazarene. Betty enjoyed singing in the choir and shopping with her husband. Her greatest delight was spending time with her grandchildren. Betty is preceded in death by her parents, Ignacio and Maltilda Gabaldon; sister, Francis Carillo; brother, Simon Gabaldon and nephew, Benny Gabaldon. She is survived by her loving husband, Dometillo Gallegos; sons, David and his wife Lisa and Chris and his wife Teresa; daughter, Tanya; brothers, Delfine and his wife Beatrice and Felix and his wife Erma; sisters, Felice Montoya and her husband Joe and Theresa Montoya and her husband Leroy; brother-in-law, Fedelino Carillo; and thirteen grandchildren. All services will be held at Riverside Funeral Home of Los Lunas, 820 Main St NE, on Thursday, December 22, 2011, beginning with a viewing at 11:00 AM. Funeral Service will be celebrated at 12:00 PM with Betty's son Chris Gallegos officiating. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Belen Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be David Gallegos, Chris Gallegos, Felix Gabaldon, Delfine Gabaldon, Elijio Gallegos and Dale Gabaldon Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be Frankie Montoya and Daniel Nieto.
