Obituary of Ruth Gold

Ruth Gold, age 79, beloved mother, wife and sister passed away at her home surrounded by her family August 23, 2013 due to renal failure. Mrs. Gold is survived by her loving husband of fifty seven years, Alfred Gold; children, Michele Gold and Eric Gold; ten grand-children; sister, Dorothy of Hutchison, Kansas. Mrs. Gold was preceded in death by her loving son, Karl Gold who passed away June, 2010. Mrs. Gold retired after working thirteen years at Rio Grande High School as a registrar. In later years she held a job at the Isleta Gaming Casino as well as The Downs of Albuquerque Casino. Her presence on earth touched many lives no matter where she was and everyone who knew her felt her strength, humor and outgoing personality. Ruth's last week or so was spent with her care givers, Alfred and Michele Gold who were blessed and honored by the opportunity to care for her and who would like to thank the staff at Presbyterian Hospice, whom without them and their kind help it would have been difficult. A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, September 3, 2013 at St. Andrews Church, 3905 Las Vegas Dr. SW 87105. In lieu of flowers the family is requesting that donations be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Pl., Memphis, TN 38105.
