Obituary of Claudia Arlene Hammons

Claudia Hammons, 80, died on February 8, 2007. She was a proud resident of the South Valley of Albuquerque for 50 years. She was employed by Santa Fe Railway for over 30 years where she met many lifelong friends. She enjoyed volunteering in her community, gardening, reading, and bird-watching. She is survived by three children: Bobby Lester Hammons and Pam Blackwell of Albuquerque, Bruce Hammons and wife, TC of Farmington, and Marietta Ravenscraft and husband, Jim of Amarillo, TX. She is also survived by four grandchildren: Daniel Lee Blackwell of Albuquerque, Lisa Cripe and husband, Shawn of Ft. Wayne, IN, Wendy Costello and husband, Ray of Albuquerque, Kim Ayres and husband, Kevin of Rio Rancho; and one great-grandson, James Roland Ayres. She is also survived by sisters, Joyce Rollins of Albuquerque, Marilyn Petrosie of California; brother, Ron Mathis of California; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be held Saturday, February 10, 2007 at Valley Christian Church, 2850 Gun Club Road SW, at 3:00 p.m.
