Obituary of Mary Ormiston James

James, Mary Ormiston, age 84, a resident of Albuquerque, New Mexico, for 48 years, passed away on Saturday, February 9, 2013 in her sleep at the Manzano Del Sol. She was born to Glen & Jaunita Ormiston, on September 27, 1928 in Barlow, Ohio. Mary graduated with Honors from Lorain Ohio High School in 1946. In 1949, she received her Registered Nurse degree at Saint Luke's Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio. Mary married her loving husband Charles G James in 1950. She worked as an RN in Columbus, Ohio while her husband attended Ohio State University. While she was a loving mother raising three children, the family moved to Albuquerque in 1965. She resumed working as a RN at Job Core, Memorial, and Lovelace hospitals until she retired. Mary belonged to the Central United Methodist Church, enjoyed square dancing, playing tennis, and liked Panda Bears. Mary is preceded in death by her husband in 2008. She is survived by her sister, Lois Wingate; brother, Roger Ormiston; sons, Charles & Glen James; daughter, Jennifer Bloch; grandchildren, Hunter, Leighton, Everett Bloch, Megan, and Katelyn James. She was a loving grandmother and celebrated all of their accomplishments. A Memorial Service will be held at the Main Chapel at Manzano Del Sol, located at 5201 Roma Ave. NE, on Friday, February 15th at 2:00 PM.
