Obituary of Ron Jenkins

Ron Jenkins age 68, passed away on Thursday January 24, 2013 in Albuquerque, NM. He was born on February 27, 1944 in Denver, Colorado and was raised in Clayton, NM. Ron and his family spent a time of 10 years in Charlotte, TX ranching before moving back to Clayton where he was part owner in Five States Livestock Auction and also ranched. Ron lived in Clayton till 1999 then made his permanent residence in Los Lunas, NM. In Los Lunas he was part owner of R J Auto, he owned and raised horses and enjoyed the race horse business where he was a member of the NM Horse Breeders Association. He attended and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Bosque Farms, NM. He was preceded in death by parents Edwin Carl and Ada Lucille Jenkins, Brother Mike Jenkins and grandparents. Ron is survived by his wife Kay Jenkins of Los Lunas; son Trym and wife Jige of Los Lunas; daughter Melissa Ramsey of Bosque Farms; 7 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Ron is also survived by his sister Barbie and husband Ken Wight of Stratford, TX; an Aunt Pat Denton and husband Jim of Muldrow, OK; wife Pam of deceased brother Mike Jenkins of Midland, TX; several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends. Ron was loved and will be missed by many. Services for Ron will be held Saturday February 2, 2013 at the First Baptist Church in Bosque Farms, NM. Family visitation will begin at 10:00 AM with services starting at 10:30AM. Honorary Pallbearers will be Jim Abney, Jerry Belew, Ben Creighton, Rod Dimitroff, Max Geary, Alan Jones, Danny McNiel, Benny Smith, Richard Snyder, Bob Swason, and Jerry Wells. Eulogy will be given by Ken Wight. A meal will be provided by the church for all attendees immediately following service.
