Obituary of Thomas Michael Jones

Our beloved son, brother, nephew and friend, Thomas Michael Jones has been called to rest on August 3, 2013. Thomas was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico on October 12, 1972. He is survived in death by his Father and Mother, Larry and Louise Renteria, his Sister, Mercedes Renteria, his aunties Linda Jones and family, Bonnie Garcia and family, and uncles Roger Thompson and family and Wilson McCommas and family. He was preceded in death by his big brother Marc Anthony Jones who passed away February 21, 2000 and his Grandmother Cirila Thompson who passed away on June 24, 2012 and he was the Great Grandson of Francisco and Ramona Griego of Albuquerque, New Mexico. Thomas was a military brat and as such had the opportunity to experience many different European countries such as Germany, France, England, Wales, Spain, Holland, Belgium, Italy and many others. He was a 1993 graduate of Alconbury High School, United Kingdom where he was loved and still remembered by many of his classmates. Although he experienced many different cultures as a military brat, he still chose to live, work and enjoy life in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He was a Heating and Air Conditioning/HVAC Technician which flowered into a successful life business for Thomas. He was an avid motorcycle enthusiast and enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle. He was a lover of pets and animals and would treat them as if they were his own children. He enjoyed fishing and the outdoors. Thomas had a generous and giving heart and was the kind of person that would give his last cent away to others he thought were more in need. Thomas was loved and cherished in his final year of life and final days by Sindey Montoya and we want to express our sincere thanks for the love shown to Thomas by Lorrie Montoya, Sindey's mother and the Montoya family. No words can express our sincerest gratitude to the University Of New Mexico Hospital and their outstanding medical and nursing staff who cared for Thomas with dignity and compassion. Services will be held Thursday, August 8th, 2013, at 10:00 am at Calvary Church of Albuquerque, 4001 Osuna Road NE, Albuquerque, NM 87109. His ashes will be laid to rest at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul NE Albuquerque, NM 87107 immediately following the services Calvary. A potluck reception will follow at the residence of his parents, Larry and Louise Renteria, at 8008 Greythorn Rd, SW Albuquerque, NM 87121.
