Obituary of Del Kelley

Del Kelley, age 85, born in Sabinal, Texas, September 19, 1927, passed away on Friday, August 23, 2013. He is the son of Elza and Mary Kelley. Del worked for years as a truck driver, underground miner and was a musician most of his life. He was a beacon of light at the First Baptist church alongside his wife Jeannie, where he was a Deacon. They worked at Central Place for 20 years . Del and Jeannie were longtime members of 1st Baptist Church. He also sang at the jails and witnessed before the inmates. Del was a born again Christian and loved to sing gospel wherever he went. He is preceded in death by wife, Jeannie and son, Kert Kelley. Del is survived by his sister, Naomi Green and her husband Jess; daughter, Susan Goss; sons, Bill Kelley and his wife Cassie and Troy Windsor; daughters, Gwen Stromberg and her husband Chuck, and Beth Fullman and her husband Mike. He is also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Del leaves behind many friends and will truly be missed. All services will take place in the chapel of Riverside Funeral Home of Albuquerque, located at 225 San Mateo Blvd. NE, beginning with a viewing on Saturday, August 31, 2013 at 10:00 AM with Funeral Service to be celebrated at 11:00 AM.
