Obituary of Pedro Alonzo Lucero

Pedro Alonzo Lucero, age 85, a resident of Bosque Farms, passed away on Wednesday, June 20, 2012. He was a cattle rancher for Leon Williams at the Diamond A Cattle Co. in New Mexico and Nebraska. Pedro retired as a heavy equipment operator at the age of eighty two from Aztec Grading in 2008. He is preceded in death by his son, Pete Eric; brothers, Herman, Horace, Leondro, Victor and Benjamin and sister, Mela. Pedro is survived by his wife, Ella; brothers, Fred and Julian; sister, Consuelo Meyer; son, Hector and his wife Jeannette; daughters, Kathleen Saavedra and her partner Ray Thomas and Karleen Noriega and her husband Gilbert; grandchildren, Sammy, Shawn, Christina, Ryan, Jamie, Sara, Clyde, Samantha, Greg, January, Amanda, Joey, Cory, Gerald and Ashley and his great-grandchildren, Gus, Justin, Mason, Elias, Audrey, Isreal, Georgia, Zion, Ozzria, Ema, Kiera, Ray, Eric and Daniel. All services for Pedro will take place at Riverside Funeral Home of Los Lunas, 820 Main St. NE, beginning with a viewing on Monday, June 25th at 5:00 PM. Recitation of the Rosary will follow at 6:00 PM. Interment will take place on Tuesday, June 26th at 3:00 PM at Santa Fe National Cemetery with Military Honors. Pallbearers will be Clyde Saavedra, Sammy Lucero, Ryan Lucero, Cory Lucero, Greg Noriega and Joey Noriega. Arrangements entrusted to Riverside Funeral Home of Los Lunas, 565-1700.
