Obituary of Bernardino Lucero

Bernardino (Benny) Lucero Jr. of Los Ranchos de Albuquerque, passed away on February 26, 2013, with his family by his side. Bernardino Boy, 58 years old, is survived by his wife, Sandra; sons, Benjamin (husband Louis) and Christopher; sisters, Josie Martinez (husband Jim) and Lucille Apodaca (husband Jimmy) and brother, Danny Lucero; godchildren, Monica Wright, Eppie Lucero, Freddie Martinez,Tommy Apodaca and Kasondra Chavez . He was preceded in death by his parents, Bernardino Sr. and Antonia Lucero. Boy served in the United States Army Reserves and was stationed in Saudi Arabia during the Gulf War. He is a beloved husband, father, brother, uncle and friend. Boy was an electrician by trade and enjoyed celebrating life by playing softball, playing cards and spending time with his family. Services are as follows: Rosary will be recited on Monday, March 4, 2013, at 7:00 pm at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church located at 9502 4th Street NW. Funeral mass will be held Tuesday, March 5, 2013, at 9:00 am also at Blessed Virgin Mary Church. Interment will be held at Santa Fe National Cemetery at 1:30 pm.
