Obituary of Ramon \ Lueras

Ramon "Monie" Lueras, age 49, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, passed away suddenly on Thursday, May 24, 2012. Monie will be deeply missed by his large family. He had an ability to make people feel welcome and was a peacemaker in the family. Monie had a big heart for the less fortunate than himself. He never fought with anyone, and was a loving towards his entire extended family and had a close relationship with his Lord. Monie is preceded in death by his father, Inez Lueras Sr. He is survived by his mother, Rose Lueras; daughter, Brandy Lueras; fiancé, Adele Chavez; step-daughters, Monique and Nicole Chavez; three grandchildren; siblings, Marie Angie Santos, Jose Inez "Junior" Lueras, Mary Fillie Coss and her husband Ubaldo, Mary Barbara Gonzales and her husband Leroy, Ann Louise Baldonado, Avaristo Lueras and Mary Helen Dow and her husband Howard. Also surviving Ramon are 20 nieces and nephews, 35 great nieces and nephews and 1 great-great nephew. A funeral service for Monie will be held at the Riverside Funeral Home Chapel, 225 San Mateo NE, on Wednesday, May 30, at 10 AM, with visitation to begin at 9AM. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Sorrows Cemetery, in Manzano, NM. Pallbearers will be Avaristo Lueras, Ray Lucero, Christopher Aguilar Jr., John Dow, Andrew Dow, Jose Inez "Junior" Lueras and Elias Chavira. Honorary pallbearer will be John Chavez.
