Ann Winslow MacCullough, age 74 of Albuquerque, NM, passed away on March 16, 2012. "Most people feel they can't make an impact, but I don't believe that's true. I believe that wherever we are, we should make that place the best we can." Born & raised in Washington D.C., Ann attended Towson State Teachers College, in Towson, MD & worked for the General Accounting Office in Washington, D.C. for ten years before she married & started a family. She served on many local & state boards & commissions including: Friends of the Library; the City of San Diego Board of Library Commissioners; the Commission for Arts & Culture & the Commission on the Status of Women, among others. Ann was a graduate of LEAD & alumnus of the year 1990. A strong believer in the preservation of open space, she was involved in the creation of the Mission Trails Regional Park in San Diego, CA. She later chose to make her home in Albuquerque, NM, due to of her love of Native American culture & arts & of course, the beautiful Sandia Mountains.
