Obituary of Carlos N Martinez

Martinez, Carlos N. Moy , 73, was born in Malaga, New Mexico on November 4, 1939, and passed away on April 6, 2013 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He graduated from Carlsbad High School in 1960. He joined the U.S. Army in 1962, and was stationed in Germany until 1967. He also served in Vietnam from 1967 until his discharge in February of 1969. Carlos was employed by the Social Security Administration in Hobbs and in Carlsbad from 1976 until his retirement in 2005. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alfredo and Matilde Martinez. Carlos is survived by his brother Bobby Martinez and his wife Irene of Albuquerque; his nephew Robert Martinez; nieces Lisa Jourden and her husband Rick and Debra Martinez-Edeal; Grand nephews James, Flores, Chris Martinez and Grand niece Jewelles Edeal. He is also survived by immediate family members Eloy Martinez, Anita Salcido and Armando Hernandez, and a host of Aunts and Cousins. Carlos had love and great regard for two of his Social Security co-workers and friends, Kris Martinez and Sue Ives. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, April 13, 2013 at 1:00 PM at San Jose Catholic Church in Carlsbad with Father Valentine officiating. Interment with Military Honors will take place at the Santa Fe National Cemetery on Friday, April 19, 2013 at 9:45 AM.
