Obituary of Maria Elena Martinez

Maria Elena Martinez born in Santa Fe, NM on April 28, 1960 passed away on September 27, 2013. She was preceded in death by her parents, Antonio and Donna Martinez and is survived by her childern, Jessica Martinez (Fiance Michael) and Jorge "Pancho" Flores. She also is survived by her brothers and sisters, Tony Martinez (Cordy), Mary Morris (Mike), Dolores King, Michael Martinez (Barbara), Mark Martinez, Rosemary Archuletta (Victor), Laurie Ann St. Amand (Kieth), as well as many loved cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Elena was a nurse for over 30 years. She had many hobbies. She loved to go camping, fishing and was a talented jewlery maker. Elena loved cooking, gardening and enjoyed spending time with her good friend and "Buddy", Lorelei. Elena had a special place in her heart for all animals, especially Bella, Pinon, Buddy and Shorty.The finest attribute of Elena was her loving devotion to her children. Her strength and independence as a single mom will always be what Jessica and Pancho will hold dearest in their hearts.
